Please verify your pin selection.
We created these NerdyKeppie exclusive designs for "Historically Queer: LGBTQIA+ Historical Figure Enamel Pins", our 2023 Kickstarter.
Julie d'Aubigny was known as La Maupin during her opera career. Julie's life is shrouded in mystery & much of what we think we know about her life comes from scurrilous rumor, but she undoubtedly performed as a renowned soprano from age 17, lived in domestic bliss with another woman for multiple years, and may or may not have burned down a convent.
Julie's pin is 2.5" tall with 3 posts to secure her in place. She wears a feathered headdress from one of her performances and is surrounded by roses - traditionally given to opera singers after performances - and orchids, one of two flowers credited as the origin of the fleur de lis, the national symbol of her home country, France. Choose your pride colors from the drop-down menu: bisexual, pansexual, or rainbow!
Please note: Stock levels were set based on our kickstarter pre-orders, and once certain items are out of stock, it is unlikely they will be replenished. Please contact us for bulk orders and bulk order pricing.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CLICK YOUR DESIRED VARIANT IN THE DROPDOWN MENU.
This pin was such a good gift! It's beautiful, great color, and the enamel is shiny and hard.
